Lord of the Rings War in the North
During the events of the game, the three companions, Andriel, Eradan and Farin are sent to investigate the wilds of the Ettenmoors. This is primarily due to the fact that it is suspected, by Gandalf the Grey and Elrond of Rivendell, that an army of trolls, orcs, and goblins is being gathered in the Ettenmoors. After battling through a large host of enemies, the companions are reunited with the Great Eagle, Beleram, whom informs them that a renegade Stone Giant, Bargrisar, is rallying a dark army. Beleram had been sent by his people to search for Bargrisar, whom had attacked the Great Eagles spontaneously. The companions and Beleram battle their way through rugged and harsh terrain, finally confronting Bargrisar in one of the uppermost regions of the Ettenmoors. Ultimately, Bargrisar is slain and his army is hunted down by the great eagles.
Aside from the conflict with Bargrisar, Andriel, Eradan and Farin may also enter the Ettenmoors region in search of alchemical ingredients for Arwen.
